My Perfectly Posh Decision.
My decision to take that leap of faith and join Posh wasn't a difficult one. My dear cousin had been posting about her new business venture with Perfectly Posh and of course, I was intrigued. Who wouldn't want to know more about a company that clamed to be naturally based and could still be a product that could take care of your skincare needs, no matter how severe? I asked her about it, she sent me some samples and I was hooked on Posh from that moment on. This stuff really worked for me! My face is oily and apparently still thinks I'm 16(Unfortunately, the rest of my body doesn't feel the same way, what a bummer). The Perfectly Posh products took my oily skin and transformed it. I do still get the occasional break out but its nothing like it was. And the oiliness is gone with regular use! I signed up just after the new year and I haven't looked back!
When I joined Posh I was unsure of how far I would go. I never set my expectations very high because I just couldn't see myself getting the recruits to go too far in the company. All I knew is that I loved the products and had the willingness to try my hardest to make it work for me. And NOW, after only 3 1/2 months I have 11 people on my team! Can you believe it? I know I cant. I have to pinch myself just to make sure this is my real life! I have promoted 3 times and I am working on my 4th! Its very surreal but I know I made the right decision. I CAN do this! With hard work and a passion for Posh, I CAN make this a career!
I am so excited to be a part of this company. I'm happy with what Posh has done for me. And MY business is growing bigger than ever! Life with Posh is good! Making money sharing your love with others truly a dream come true! Joining at the ground floor of a company is so special. Posh is only 2 1/2 years old and is booming. PEOPLE LOVE POSH! They are currently pushing 10,000 consultants and anyone who joins gets free stuff! I am a WOMAN who owns a BUSINESS...and YOU could be one too!
Take a look at my website www.perfectlyposh.com/AprilF Contact me if you're interested in the products, want samples or maybe want to talk about joining my team!

2 weeks as a Pinterest Pin-tester!
So here is a list of what I made and of course whether it would be something I would ever make again lol I did change a few things on some of them so keep your eyes open for that! Hopefully all my hard work not only benefitted my family but might help all of you decide what to make for dinner in the coming days.
1.Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak
http://allrecipes.com/Cook/19368039/Photo.aspx?photoID=810239
This was simply AMAZING!!! I winner for everyone in my family! The only thing to make sure if that you use a leaner cut of ground beef...If not then your gravy is very fatty lol
2.Chicken, Bacon and Cream Cheese Taquitos
http://mommyimhungry.blogspot.com/2011/03/chicken-bacon-and-cream-cheese-mini.html
These were very good!! I did change it because Im not big on frying things and frankly it was much easier to make this full size reather than cutting them into small circles and then frying them... So I made the filling as they suggested only I added some garlic :) And I used whole wheat tortillas and didnt cut them, I just put the filling in the tortilla and rolled them up and put them in my baking dish. It made 10 full sized taqutos(They were very full, more like an enchilada or burrito) I then drizzles olive oil over them and used a basting brish to spread the oil to cover the tops of the taquitos. And baked them at 425 for about 20 minutes. They were perfect!
3.Crack Potatoes(or so they're called)
http://www.plainchicken.com/2011/01/crack-potatoes.html
Extremely delish! Just like the Hashbrown Casserole my family has always made, but with a twist! A big hit with the family!
4.Pork Tenderloin.
http://chefmommy-brandao.blogspot.ca/2012/03/pork-tenderloin-with-pan-sauce.html
This was very good and I made it for Fathers day. It was a huge success! I did buy a can of chipotle peppers and chopped about 3 of them finely then heated them with the garlic and topped the pork with the mixture and it was amazing(just thought it needed a subtle kick) Even the kids who arent big on hot stuff loved this!! They even had seconds!!!
5.Hawaiin Sweet Roll Ham Sliders
http://beyerbeware.net/2011/04/hunk-of-meat-monday-game-time-favorites.html
Oh, I was so disappointed...Dont get me wrong they werent horrible...But they were kinda bland and not much different then then kisy a plain ham and cheeses sandwich that someone warmed up. I liked it but it was FAR from my favorite!
6.Brown Sugar Wings with red pepper dipping sauce.
http://damndelicious.tumblr.com/post/23983558996/baked-brown-sugar-chicken-wings-with-roasted-red-pepper
Ok so I changed this one a little and it did not at all look like the picture on the site nor did it taste like I had imagined in my head. I used chicken breast and cubed it because Im not a huge fan of meat with bones it it(call me weird, but I just dont like it...lol) But it should have worked the same way, right? wrong...it didnt brown up at all. It wasnt crispy or anything! It was just ok... nothing I would make again. BUT the dipping sauce...OMG! I did use the rest of the chipotle peppers instead of the red peppers because I had them and well they arent as hot so I knew my girls would like them. Thats stuff was amazing! I made extra and froze it for a rainly day :)
7.Crock Pot Cube Steak and Gravy
http://thepost-itplace.com/2012/01/crockpot-cube-steak-and-gravy/
This was so easy and it was , well, it was good...nothing spectacular but good...Make sure you use a big pack of cube steak! It sort of tears apart so you will need rice or potatoes to pour the mixture over when its all done.
8.Pesto, Bacon and Moz Panini
http://threemanycooks.com/recipes/meaty-mains/sisters-sandwich/
Ok so this is one of my favorite things...My husbands and kids loved it too... I did not make it into a Panini...Just used a great bread like Sour dough and heated them in the oven...these are Awesome!
9.Easy Garlic Chicken
http://www.food.com/recipe/easy-garlic-chicken-5478
The title says it all...this was SO Easy and it was shockingly great! We all loved it!
10.Scooters Baked Spaghetti
http://www.salad-in-a-jar.com/family-recipes/scooters-spaghetti
OMG!!! This was simply...well, Fantastic!!Who would have thought adding Cream cheese and french fried onions to your Spaghetti and baking it would make a difference...But wow! You have to try this one :)
11.Nutella Cookies
http://tastykitchen.com/recipes/desserts/nutella-cookies/
These were pretty good for something with just a few ingredients...Very easy to make on a whim. Everyone enjoyed them!
12.Arkansas Green Beans
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Arkansas-Green-Beans/
I make the Green bean bundles every year around the holidays and this is something that is so much easier...and they are wonderful. They have such a different tast...sure to please even the pickiest Vegitable eater!
13.4 Cheese dipping Biscuits!
http://richestoragsbydori.blogspot.com/2012/05/four-cheese-dippin-biscuits.html
These were simple and good! Nothing that made me say OMG I need to eat the whole pan lol but they were good and a twist on just having a dinner roll with your meal.
14.Chicken Crecent Roll Casserole
http://www.tastebook.com/recipes/1881796-Chicken-Crescent-Roll-Casserole
This was Oh so good!!! Everyone loved it! I used can chicken because I got a great deal on them at Sams! I changed nothing else but we all loved it!!!!

judgement
Why do we judge ourselves based on what others do? God has called them to do something special but his plans for you may or may not be as significant in your eyes, but never doubt that His plan is what He knows is right for you. Only He knows the future. I dont know how many times Ive taken a look back on my life and had this "ah ha" moment when I realized how it all came together. There cant be 500 ministers or Sunday school leaders or Heads of church programs...we all have a part and just because you dont see your part as something of importance, doesnt mean that it isnt.
Judgement...whether its you judging others, or the other way around...or maybe its even you judging yourself...The bible says not to judge. So just be all that God wants you to be, and leave the judgement up to God :)

Unexpected blessings
Well, I went to the doctor last week and during my appointment, he found a lump(Im sure I dont have to go into detail for you to figure out what Im talking about). After a very long, nerve wracking week, my mammogram was rescheduled for today instead of tomorrow because the weather is supposed to get bad. So I went today and they did the mammo. They emailed it to the radiologist immediately and he said that looked ok, but the he wanted to do an ultrasound. So I sat there for 1/2 and hour and the tech did the ultrasound. It seemed to take forever. When it was all said and done, she wouldnt tell me anything...which I understand but didnt really help me at all. And wouldnt you know it, the radiologist was at lunch...so I wasnt able to get a report. Im worried because,it was supposed to be just the mammo...so even though the radiologist said it looked fine, I am wondering if the ultrasound was because he was unsure, or if it was just protocol. I have been calling my doctors office all day, probably driving them crazy, but I was hoping that the radiologist would have faxed him a report and that he would be able to tell me something, but as of 4:30...they didnt have it. So Im still waiting...and its driving me crazy!! I know that there is an 80% chance everything is ok...and no I do not really think I have cancer, but I just can't let it go until I know for sure.
I know that this is a personal thing and maybe it shouldnt be posted, but I feel like maybe if I had known all the things I know now, after the fact, it would have been a lot easier to deal with.Plus, I know that not everyone will read this so it will be limited to some of my closest friends. Life is short...and you just never know. What I can say without a doubt is that this has really opened my eyes to how wonderful God really is and how much he has blessed me. We seem to take each day for granted and each day, good or bad, is a blessing. I have realized how important family is and just being with the ones I love is the most important thing of all. God blessed me with a wonderful and supportive husband and some truly awesome kids. And if He can do all that despite all the things I've done in my life, I know He can bring me through this. Believe it or not, I am trying to stay positive. I have been looking for some inspirational verses to help me through this rough patch. And I hope that maybe, if you find yourself in a similar situation or id you just feel down...that these can help you too.
Be strong and bold; have no fear or dread of them, because it is the Lord your God who goes with you; he will not fail you or forsake you.
Deuteronomy 31:6
Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed. 2 Corinthians 4:7-9 Uphold me according to your promise, that I may live, and let me not be put to shame in my hope. Psalm 119:116 Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am in distress; my eye wastes away from grief, my soul and body also. Psalm 31:9 Our soul waits for the Lord; he is our help and shield. Psalm 33:20 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress; he sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from destruction. Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wonderful works to humankind. Psalm 107:19-21 Praise the LORD, my soul; who forgives all your sins Psalm 103:1-5
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the LORD, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

New year...New me! (and other new things too)
#1--Weight Loss
I am super serious about loosing weight this time. It something I HAVE to do, period. I wanna loose 50 pounds by the summer...any maybe even more than that. I WILL go to the gym!!!
#2 -- Projects
We have several unfinished projects around the house that have to be done if we ever wanna move. Yes, I said move. With Mikey working in Amarillo and me no longer working...it makes sense to move to Amarillo(or Fort Worth...but that's a dream lol).
#3 -- save, save, save!
We really want to save more money and stop spending it on things that aren't worth it. When you think about all the useless crap you buy, you realize that if you had saved more of it, you could have bought something really great instead of eating out or buying stuff you don't need.
SOOOO...those are my "resolutions" for 2011. HHHEEEEELLLLPPPPP! lol

Lemonade Anyone?
Sometimes, I stop and reflect on all the bad things and ask the infamous question "Why do bad thing's happen to good people?" I have been searching for an answer when I came upon this thought... THERE ARE NO GOOD PEOPLE! And the bible confirms this!
Romans 3:10-12 says.
10As it is written:
"There is no one righteous, not even one;
11 there is no one who understands,
no one who seeks God.
12All have turned away,
they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
not even one."
BUT Romans 22-24 says;
22This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23for ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Not even Christians are GOOD people. So why do I think that I deserve to be treated any differently than anyone else? The truth is, that ONLY by God's grace are we made perfect through Jesus Christ!!!
We walk around thinking we are Christians and we don't steal or commit murder so we must be good people. Buts that's just not true. Our "lemons" happen because WE allow sin into our lives. And the only thing that makes us different from those who commit the "big" sins(ie; murder, theft, etc...) is our belief in Jesus, so we should know better!!!
So next time you wonder why bad things just keep happening to you... Remember this saying "When you point your finger at someone else, the rest are pointing back at you"!!! Your sin causes the bad things to happen to you. God does not want bad things to happen to us as Christians. As a matter of fact, it hurts Him to see us suffer. And yet, we always seem to blame Him for causing all the trials in our lives.
So I guess the moral of this story is to stop blaming God or others for all the trials in our lives and start looking at ourselves instead. The Devil is constantly attacking us and all we can do is prepare for the battle. And even the most knowledgeable can fall during battle. But that knowledge can also help heal you when it happens. And thats an AMAZING thing!
OH, And as for what to do with all that lemonade...Share it! Through your despair God can do wonderful things not only for you, but for others as well.
SO GO MAKE SOME LEMONADE AND SET UP YOUR STAND ON THE CORNER. YOU WILL BE GREATLY REWARDED FOR YOUR EFFORTS :)
